Caring for garden furniture and cushions
Gentle cleaning, ventilation and dry storage help furniture and cushions stay looking good. Follow the material-specific care instructions for your model.
1. Clean gently
Remove loose dirt with a soft cloth or brush. Use water and only cleaning products approved by the manufacturer for the material. Test new products on an inconspicuous area first.
Do not use pressure washers, abrasives or aggressive solvents unless the manufacturer expressly permits them. Let everything dry completely before covering or storing it.
2. Care for cushions separately
Follow the care label. A zip does not automatically mean the cover is machine washable. Treat stains gently and allow the filling to dry completely too.
Do not put damp cushions in a closed box. Water-repellent covers and weather-resistant furniture still need dry, ventilated storage. Compare your dry cushion stack with the box’s internal dimensions.
3. Store well over winter
Store cushions clean and completely dry in a sheltered, ventilated place. Protect furniture as specified by the manufacturer, avoiding standing water and trapped moisture.
Do not seal a cover tightly over damp furniture. Allow ventilation and secure the cover properly. Check your model’s instructions for permitted frost and weather exposure.
4. Check before the new season
Inspect frames, joints, cushions and fittings for damage. Check screws and moving parts as instructed. Do not reuse damaged or unsafe furniture until it has been properly assessed.
For spare parts or damage, use the service form with the article number, order number and clear photos. The relevant assembly instructions are on the product page.
